Prof. Dr. İhsan DAĞI
İhsan Dağı is an expert on Turkish politics and foreign policy, and a faculty member in the Department of International Relations at Middle East Technical University (METU).
He has served as a research fellow with Fulbright, the Carnegie Council for Ethics and International Affairs, NATO, and the Open Society Institute. He has also been a visiting scholar at Georgetown University, School of Advanced International Studies, and Keele University.
Between 2007 and 2013, he was the editor of Insight Turkey. His articles have been published in journals such as Journal of Democracy, Turkish Studies, Critique, Mediterranean Quarterly, Journal of Southern Europe and Black Sea Studies, and Middle Eastern Studies. His book on Turkish politics, What Went Wrong in Turkey: From Muslim Democracy to Illiberal Democracy, explores Turkey’s political trajectory.
His research interests focus on Turkish politics, foreign policy, human rights, democratization, and Islamic politics.
