Hasan YALÇIN

Hasan Yalçın is a specialist in international trade in goods and services .

He served as Secretary General of the Turkish Contractors Association for the last five years, where he led efforts to expand the global footprint of Turkish contractors. His contribution was noteworthy in fostering international collaborations and advancing projects that boosted the sector's competitiveness.

Prior to this position, he was the Deputy Director General of Agreements at the Ministry of Trade from 2014 to 2019, overseeing departments responsible for CIS and European countries, as well as WTO dispute settlements. His work focused on shaping trade policy and strengthening Türkiye’s trade and investment relations bilaterally with the countries in these regions.

Mr. Yalçın also served as Chief Counsellor at the Turkish Permanent Mission to the WTO in Geneva, negotiating on Türkiye's behalf, with a particular focus on trade facilitation.

Earlier in his career, he held various roles at the Undersecretariat of the Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade, including serving as Commercial Counsellor at the Turkish Embassy in Moscow, where he promoted trade and investment between Türkiye and Russia.

Mr. Yalçın holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Middle East Technical University and an MIM/MBA in International Trade from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
